Check Out Photos from the Academy's Excursion to Portugal!
In our latest international excursion, the Academy voyaged across the Atlantic to beautiful Portugal! Over eight days, the group visited Lisbon, Porto, and the Douro Valley. The group's first stop was Lisbon, where they, among other things, enjoyed breath-taking views from the hilltop fortress, St. George's Castle.
The group then continued on to Porto, Portugal's second largest city. There, they admired such famous attractions as the Palacio da Bolsa, Porto's old Stock Exchange Palace and Courthouse, and the city of Vila Nova de Gaia, home to the area's historic port lodges.
Finally, the group journeyed into the Douro Valley, where they basked in its beauty and sipped local wine on a river cruise.
