This training, presented by two immigration lawyers from Brooklyn Defender Services, will go over the basics of immigration law. Topics will include the grounds of deportability and inadmissibility, eligibility for relief and immigration benefits, and the impact of arrests and criminal convictions on a client’s status. The training will also cover recent developments in immigration policy and the impact of the 2020 election.
